Alive
APRA AMCOS 788811.
Lyrics & Music by William Price
Chorus:
Boo wap wap wa hoo
I am Alive
i'm happy you're alive
Entry: Alive... I am Alive...
Verses:
Lucky me I am a 1st world boy
I have melanin in my eyes
I believe in the human race
Looking good with a smile on my face
My fire burns to let go...
Bridge: I light the darkness from inside
Lucky me i am a 1st world boy
All i need is to see who you are
i love it when you walk my way
i see heroes everyday
an open heart doesn't need eyes
Bridge: No longer feeding the lies.
(chorus)
Lucky me I am a 1st world boy
I can live and work where i want
No loss of family at any time
No soldiers in my line
I am blessed with freedoms others deserve...
Bridge: I create the love in my life.
(chorus)
END:
Boo wap wap wa hoo
I am Alive
I'm happy you're alive
I'm happy you're alive
I'm happy you're alive.
Song 5 : The Story
This song is a song of Freedom.
I was chilling in bed bouncing and old riff over and over and then i created a melodic ladder from an 'A Major'.
The Song speaks of my 1st World being one of fortune. I do not suffer racism. I am not told where i can live and work. I decide who are my people and I can open up to the people i want. I see you for who you are and the role you decide to act out. I can safely speak what is on my mind.
All of these personal choices are the benefits of living in my 1st World. I can lead the way or follow. I can accept and i can reject. I can become!
I hope this song reminds us that there are people in this world who require our support and to shine a light on the problems people need to solve.
Can we serve people so they become people in a world they desire?
